In 1968 the George Jensen exhibition came to Georges gallery in Melbourne from Denmark and the RMIT tutors took students to see it. A closer examination and handling of the silverware items and jewellery pieces were highly influential.
This was a pivotal experience in the understanding and motivation to design and make pieces of exhibition standard and to develop a new style based on Scandinavian design.

18ct gold | yellow citrine
This ring was made in coursework in third year at RMIT. It is hollow box construction and was an opportunity to work in gold. The citrine is held in a bezel setting.
